The Power In His Promise
For God’s Word is something to sing about! He is true to his promises, his word can be trusted, and everything he does is reliable and right.
Psalm 33:4 tpt
Who is your favorite hero in the bible?
Are you a Deborah girl? Or, do you relate more to Queen Esther?
I love how God can take ordinary women and make them models to inspire us.
I love stories where the main character overcomes overwhelming odds, don’t you?
If you nodded then you must love the stories in the bible as much as I do.
Each story reads differently as we go through the seasons and challenges we face. Evolving to a new level each time we visit an old, familiar one.
How does he do that?
I’m no bible scholar but I think the king of the universe can and does tailor each scripture into a living encounter with him if we are open to him.
The power that propelled our heroes to succeed is made available to us through his promises.
Some of the ways I’ve seen him move in my circumstances are through healing, deliverance from fear, and salvation for my family, friends and some strangers.
Maybe you’ve been asking Holy Spirit to heal a broken relationship by using scripture that speaks to the problem. And you haven’t yet seen answers to your prayers.
That is hard.
If I’m speaking to you right now don’t give in to the lies or doubts that sometimes come along with the wait.
God is not the god of broken promises!
Maybe he is using this time of waiting to show you his deep love for you.
Keep pressing in! He is for you. If God is for you who can be against you?
This week I experienced emotional healing in a way I never thought possible. After praying some 20 years about a relationship I received answer to prayer!
If he can do it for me he can do it for you!
Pray this with me.
“Father, I love you and I thank you for all you’ve done.
But my heart and my soul are weary from this pain.
Give me your peace as you have your way and take this burden from me.
Your word says (enter your promise from scripture here.)
In Jesus’ name we pray.”
Please share the scripture you’ve been holding onto so we can pray with you, too!
