For Those Who Are Weary. A message of hope.

Have you prayed about a problem in your life and cried until there are no more tears or words?

You’ve experienced God’s victory and seen him move in miraculous ways.

Yet, that one circumstance seems to get worse with each passing year.

It may be a health problem, financial hardship, an estranged relationship or an unsaved loved one.

Your heart remains faithful to his word. Even if your mind has trouble believing the promise will ever come to pass.

You know he loves you and it’s a topic close to his heart. His ways are clearly in favor of your freedom from debt, fear of loss, heartache and disease. God is the maker of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

I have good news. God’s about to do a new thing… get ready!

“Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

I love how the Lord gives us refreshment in the midst of those dry places while we’re waiting for him to move.

For fitness goals, my husband and I have joined the YMCA. It’s a way to spend time together and lay aside our responsibilities and the ‘weights’ of this world.

As young marrieds we had time to work out.

Yesterday, we stopped in the middle of our run through the weight machines and played a game of ‘horse’ in the empty gym.

That short time of playing basketball was such a joy for me! It reminded me of the fun we had as teenagers and we were able to laugh at the limitations in our aging bodies.

There comes a time where we need to know ~ he said it. He’ll do it. Let’s praise him for the victory. And watch him do a new thing in that dry place.

Faith isn’t easy. But God gives us keys for living a full and fruitful life especially when circumstances look impossible.

Remember you’re leaving a legacy of love for those whose lives you have touched. Well done my friend.

Merry Christmas. I’m rejoicing with you in who he is in this wonderful season. Emmanuelle God is with us!
