This month, I wanted to post an article on a new home for trafficking victims, and then an author's interview...But, God had other plans for me today.Instead, the Father is talking to me about the human wreckage the enemy is leaving in a trail behind him. Simply because he has managed to get into that crack in the armor of our souls. My heart is broken for the havoc I see the enemy causing through the church today. Witchcraft spirits spread lies, gossip, chaos in the saints and many people's lives are destroyed. For years after an attack from the evil one, I see the same people who were out doing incredible work for the kingdom struggling with the consequences of bondage to sin. Broken homes, broken lives, broken people. Ensnared in drugs and alcohol, given over to suicidal spirits, fractured by abuse, trauma and rejection. Listen to my heart when I say I want to "shake" these people loose from the chains that now hold their lives from the victory that Christ wants them to live in. This is my heart's cry. Wake up people! The enemy comes in to lie, steal and destroy. Do not be surprised when he comes in through the people closest to us. Don't be surprised when he uses the things that are comfortable and familiar to us. Do I want to get out of bed on a cold winter "crack of dawn" morning to do what I'm called to do? No, I'd rather stay snuggled up next to the warmth of my husband and sleep. The walk of a Christian is decidedly an uncomfortable journey. We wake up to a battle every morning for who will have dominion over our hearts , minds and souls that day. We are in a battle people! The battle is in our minds, our homes, our schools, our neighborhoods and even in our churches! Ever go through a season where depression, discouragement, self doubt hit you so strong in the morning, you are left reeling? That is probably because God has breakthrough for the very thing you have prayed for day after day for the last thirty years. Get up, Get dressed and get to work! God is with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. The sin is not in the temptation to give up, it is in the giving up! What happened to your dreams and visions God gave you as a child? What happened to the passion you had as a teenager to change the world for good? That dream is still in the Father's heart for you and He intends for you to live it no matter how young, inexperienced, untrained, ill -equipped you are. Or, how old, frail, weak you are. You ARE called to do something great on this earth regardless of who you are or what you have done. The religious will tell you that you can't do it. Those closest to you will tell you you are not successful, you stink at what you do, you have no talent, you are a dreamer. If God tells you you ARE, than you are a entrepreneur, a dreamer, an artist, the person to come up with the cure to the common cold. I don't care, whatever lies you have believed in the past, there is new hope for you today. His mercies are new every morning. Keep your ears inclined to hear to the whispers of the Father's heart for your life. There is no greater adventure than living the dream that the He has for you.
