There are countless lives that go into the words and stories that are born out of the imagination and gifts God has given to you and are put down on a page.
That is one part of blogging that is unspoken.
Just like any other relationships in our lives, the give and take of having other writers come into your life brings a richness and complexity that will take your breath away.
If you are like me, you are insecure about "putting out" your own words, thoughts, onto paper never mind showing the "unseen" reader in cyberspace who you truly are. It's downright terrifying!
I'm continually amazed by the "God" connections I've acquired and the amount of sincere, generous people who freely give out their own time, talents and support. This is why you must get connected.
When you purchase a Christian book or writing resource you are investing into the body of Christ at work and at its finest. Some of the most talented, humble and God loving folks I know have poured out their hearts into the books that go on that Barnes and Noble shelf. You may never know the pain and suffering that individual went through to get that book into your hands so that they can encourage, train and teach you in the ways of the King.
For this, I'm continually amazed, grateful and in awe of them and the way God has placed these godly men and women into my path. They are completely invested in seeing you reach your god given potential and being a success.
Because you know what? We can't do it without each other. One person writing a book is good . But, countless others pouring their own expertise and souls experience and most importantly, their love for God brings forth something altogether more excellent.
So take some time to read other blogs and learn from the hard earned craft of other writers. I've linked several excellent blogs on this page to the right. Invest your money in good books on the craft of writing. And, most importantly, pray for those God connections that will line you up with people in your writing "niche."
Wish I could name the people who have blessed me in these last five years, but there are just too many to count! And their investments into my life have been priceless. Besides I know that most of the women and men I've met are doing it all for the glory of God. Which is truly the beauty of a Christian writing community after all. May we all shine for our King!
Interesting side note~ for our message on Sunday, our Pastor spoke about this same idea. We are one body of believers. It's an awesome thought to be used for the God of the universe to rest his glory upon us.
