What is your story? Words are powerful. We know that everything came into being through God and God gave the word. The word became flesh through Jesus Christ and God was with us (John 1:1)

The word is active (Hebrews4:12) like a two-edged sword dividing between soul and spirit. So our weapons of warfare today in a very real way are through words.

Today we have more freedom than ever to take over  the airwaves for Christ. Let's use it while we still can.

Social media while for the most part, is clogged with self aggrandizing celebrity news and often disheartening political, economic and world news. What a great opportunity to share the good news. Especially for those of us who are called to write. (Psalm 45)

We all have a voice. The very thing that God has placed into us in our mother's womb (Galatians 1:15 &16) Is the very thing God wants to use to bring people into the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Harriet Beecher Stowe authored Uncle Tom's Cabin the best-selling novel of the 19th century[7] and the second best-selling book of that century, following the Bible. Abraham Lincoln credited Uncle Tom's cabin as instrumental in setting an entire nations mind free with the truth of anti slavery. Until that time, it was an accepted ideology for one man to own another. The total antithesis of God's intention for all men who he created equal and to be free.

We are free to express ourselves at this time through facebook, twitter, pinterest and especially through blogs.

In October 2012, I was asked to teach a biblical counseling class where I graduated with a certificate in 2008. I don't consider myself a teacher, so instead I shared how God had set me free from cancer and from fear as a result of sexual abuse through the biblical counseling.

At the time I was asking the Lord for provision for a cyber spot to gather all of the videos, blog posts and books I had and would publish. I said, "Lord where am I going to get the thousands of dollars needed to start my own website?"

At I had created a blog to post what God was giving me. But, after being involved in a writing project, I needed something more.

Website designer Lori Laws attended the lecture. She wrote to me, encouraging me in my call as a writer. And, the rest is history.

My journey had begun.

Lori's story can be found on her website. Her link is on the blogroll to the right of this post. She is a true lover of Jesus and over comer. If you have been suffering,or are currently diagnosed or know of someone who is dealing with a chronic illness, Lori is the person for you.

Oswald Chambers puts this act of walking in our call for God very simply in his iconic book "My Utmost For His Highest".

"God brings me into a proper relationship with Himself so that I can understand His call and then serve Him on my own out of a motivation of absolute love. Service to God is the deliberate love gift of a nature that has heard the call of God. Service is an expression of my nature, and God's call is an expression of His nature. Therefore, when I receive His nature and hear his call, His divine voice resounds throughout His nature and mine and the two become one in service. The Son of God reveals himself in me and out of devotion to Him, service becomes my everyday way of life."
