If books were food for the soul, then Trish Perry's light hearted romance The Perfect Blend would be a chocolate mousse after the perfect dinner. After reading the first chapter where Steph Vandergrift is left at the altar by her 'all so superior' fiance, I couldn't wait to find time to sit down with a cup of coffee and maybe some pastry~ that didn't happen, unfortunately :-) and dig into the rest.
I was not disappointed because Steph's adventures in her new life after the big ditch are laugh out loud funny!
Any woman worth her weight of life's difficulties between the ages of 20 to 100 will enjoy reading how Steph pulls her life together in the little town of Middleburg, Virginia.
During her short term employment at Millicent's Tea Shop, Steph comes to find out that life is a series of decisions that only we can make with the help of God and sometimes even the closest people in our lives may not approve.
If you are in the mood for some lighthearted fun and a good read~ then pick up Trish Perry's book~ after all, isn't dessert the best part of any meal?
