I'm excited to tell you that I'll be presenting a workshop on the craft of writing at the first annual Keystone Christian Fiction Writers Conference. The magic word there is "presenting" because "teaching" has always been on the top of my "What I will never do" lists. It is a nerve wracking thought that I will have a captive audience for 50 minutes to enlighten on the subject of writing.
So with that thought in mind, maybe you have a call to write a book, start a blog, or compose an article? Maybe you have thought about writing for publication but have "publishing" on the top of your list of things you w0n't ever do...if so, than I think that the Keystone Christian Writer's Conference may be a great start for you.
The people behind the scenes have worked hard to make sure your day will be memorable, productive and enjoyable. The conference is being held at the beautiful Penn Stater Conference Center in State College, Pa. Yes, that's right ~ the home of the famous Penn State Nittany Lions :-D
Mike Dellosso, the keynote speaker has written over nine novels in spite of his overcoming cancer and he will share how to be "unstoppable" in spite of the odds sometimes against us.
You can make an appointment to chat with an agent, editor, publisher or even authors to ask those burning questions that you have. This is also a great opportunity to network with the writing industry experts to talk about your projects.
My personal experience has been that writer's conferences are the best way to get out and meet other writers, pitch your novel, acquire new resources for your writer's "tool belt" and most importantly, to have fun socializing with people just like you.
